Did you happen to see this fabulous lemonade stand when you were out and about this summer? One of the Brookside Mothers’ Association playgroups is raising money for Reach Out and Read KC by selling lemonade and snacks at area parks. How awesome is that? With such an adorable young sales staff, how could anyone resist?
One talented family in the playgroup built the cute stand by hand (!) and the children (ages six months to five years) have been dishing out the lemonade and collecting the money, as well as giving out information about ROR-KC.
The Brookside Mothers’ Association, a nonprofit organization for moms and their families, has been a wonderful supporter of ROR-KC over the past few years. Thank you!
In fact, KCPT-TV saw an article about the lemonade stand in our newsletter and decided to do a video about the project! The children and families will be featured in a short video on KCPT Kids. How cool is that?
